Father’s Day Ideas

Father’s Day Ideas

In Korea we do not celebrate Father’s Day but Parent’s Day for both mum and dad which is every year held on May 8th. The idea is for the kids to eat with the parents and give them a red carnation. Now that I am Australian I get the beauty of both Father’s Day in September and in May Parent’s Day much to my daughter’s (not) delight!.

Anyway I recommend trying to cook Dad a Korean BBQ for Father’s Day if he is the adventurous type.

Simply go to your local Asian Grocery store and buy some already sliced or slice at home pork belly and wagyu. These meats if you chop into small pieces do not take long to cook. Served with a simple sesame oil, salt and pepper sauce along with rice and Korean sides or salads if you choose.

You can check out my recipes of Korean BBQ at home in my cookbook or send me an email and I will help you out.
